Week Two. The list is growing! ...but am I doing it?

1. Daily Reading

Not quite daily, but I did a read a little more than usual this week.

2. Yoga

Nooooooope - why is it so hard to do someone we love and know is good for us? This week I must find a yoga class to go to and at least try it. I will find the perfect class!

....I wrote out who I need to write letters to.... does that count...

4. Adult Ballet

YES! Went back! I'm going to build this habit!

5. Photography

Still going to photog class :) Buuuuuut I'm about trying the techniques, need to work on confidence on doing this.

6. Gilmore Girls Re-Watch

Why the Long List?

I live by two simple mantras.

1. Life is really, really long - Jimmy Fallon

2. We'll never know, if we never go - ...a friend's cover photo

They guide me well, however, there are still things that I want to do, and these things seem to linger on my already muddled mind. You see, my mind is often filled with long lists. As a journalist I write my work things down in lists to avoid this... but my life things? Like the simple things I want to try or do, are often left to stay up in there - bothering me.

Having these things hanging around makes me feel like I can never get on top of things - as the list of things I want to do keeps growing and growing. On this list are also things I've left behind, things that created my identity as a a teenager, things that I miss about myself.

So how do you resolve this? How do you take back you brain and your 'life things'? Well for me its this blog. I want to try new 'life things', or pick back up the things I left behind. There will be no timeline in doing this and some weeks it might just be about maintaining something, or perhaps about realising I can move on from the thing I had wanted to try, and wasn't for me.

What's on your list?

Laura, xx

Week One. If we never move, we'll never groove

1. Adult Ballet

Sweaty, stretchy and fun. I hope I can go back each week

2. Photography Class

I love learning, and photography really does have so many complex layers. I'm lucky this has been a class I've committed to.

3. Gilmore Girls Re-Watch

Re-uniting with my soul mate Rory Gilmore. Binge watching series isn't the best use of time, but surely it's making me wittier...

Things I'd like to try next week...

1. Daily Reading
2. Yoga
3. Letter writing
